Let’s make this Diwali happy for everyone

Diwali – the Festival of Lights, Joy, Happiness and Togetherness, is celebrated to honor Rama-chandra, the seventh avatar (incarnation of the god Vishnu). It is believed that on this day, Lord Rama returned to his people, after 14 years of exile. During which, he fought and won a battle against the Demon king, Ravana.

Deepawali or Diwali is celebrated with great joy and pleasure around the world. But, mostly with firecrackers. These firecrackers, though a beauty you can watch all night, lead to Air Pollution, Noise Pollution, Global warming, accidents and at times, even death.

Pollution and global warming are known to have caused severe floods, landslides, cyclones and hurricanes in India and around the globe. But our small steps towards change, can prevent further apocalypse and disasters.

New Delhi: As people across the country opted for fireworks to celebrate Diwali, places in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and others witnessed serious fire-related accidents on the eve of the festival.

In Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, a firecrackers shop caught fire all of a sudden in the evening and within seconds, the fire spread to five adjacent shops. It also engulfed 3 bikes and a scooter standing in proximity to the shop. The accident caused a stampede-like situation as shopkeepers and customers tried to escape the place. As per reports, the shopkeepers of the area informed fire brigade about the situation, but since the fire truck did not have water, the fire could not be doused immediately.  Police on reaching the spot took charge of the situation and managed for fire vehicles to control the fire.

In Surat, Gujarat, an oil depot caught fire last night in Udhna’s Kharwar Nagar area. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire is suspected to have been triggered by Diwali fireworks.

In Lucknow’s Rajendranagar too, fire crackers led to a massive fire in an illegal candle factory which also spread to a nearby three-storey building.

In Delhi NCR’s Greater Noida, a huge fire broke out in a bamboo godown, leading to a rush in the area. Fire was controlled after three hours of struggle. Goods worth lakhs were burnt in the accident which was triggered by a firecracker.

As many as 209 calls were received by the Delhi Fire Services on Diwali, including one related to a huge fire in a factory at Bawana, officials said. The officials said the number of calls related to firecrackers was comparatively low, but there was no decline in the number of calls related to fire incidents, news agency PTI reported.

A change that everyone needs

It doesn’t matter who you are, what you do for a living, where you live, what is your name or what type of cloths you wear .

What matters is what you do with your life everyday. Because there is only one life that you have got. You have 24 hours in a day and its your choice how you make it count. Everybody wants to live a healthy life but they don’t want to give any input. They don’t want to wake up early or go for a walk or plant a tree or give up smoking & drinking. Everyone body wants everything to come at their doorstep without doing any efforts.

We want to live in a clean locality, a clean city, a clean world but no one wants to get their hands dirty. We know everything about the reasons that has turned our planet into a gas ball but we don’t want to do anything about it, because we think that we are too busy with our life or we are too helpless to do anything .

When there will be no clean air, no clean water, no clean city and your children will ask you about how you survived … then only you will realize that why you didn’t control the pollution that you were creating, why you kept sitting & watching debates and movies on the television , why you were busy with your smartphones ,why you were blindly using non-renewable sources of energy, why you kept ignoring everything .

If you want to control anything, If you want to change anything, If you want to give anything to your next generation…….the time is now. Because its never too late to start. You are the one who can make this change, you are the one who can control this global warming, you are the one who can restrict pollution, you are the one who can raise a voice against the reason behind this increasing global warming .

Every country is getting hit by natural calamities and it is increasing every year…. and we are responsible for it because “what goes around comes around “.

Its never too late to Start.

SAVE EARTH….. SAVE LIFE
